Positioning and promise

How Bitrate describes itself, what it commits to, and the words it uses to do both. The reasoning behind these choices is on the foundation page.

Positioning

Internal positioning

The all-in-one music platform.

External positioning

All-in-one for musicians.

Bitrate should not position itself as “a better Spotify,” “another distributor,” or “a social network for artists.”

Streaming is one surface of the ecosystem. Distribution is one capability. Communication is one tool. None of them individually defines the company.

The strategic advantage is reducing the number of disconnected services required to work with music.

Brand promise

You make the music. Bitrate makes the process clear.

Bitrate does not promise fame, wealth, virality, or a successful career.

It promises something it can control:

  • the next step is understandable;
  • the process is transparent;
  • unnecessary complexity is removed;
  • important information is visible;
  • the system behaves predictably.

The desired user reaction is:

“Why is this so simple?”

Core value

Simplicity

Simplicity is not visual minimalism alone. It is the removal of unnecessary complexity across the entire music workflow.

A simple interface on top of a confusing process is not enough. Bitrate should simplify the process itself.

The principles that turn this value into decisions are on the principles page.

Tagline and messaging

Positioning line

All-in-one for musicians.

This is currently the primary descriptor, not necessarily the permanent advertising slogan.

Working messaging territory

  • Everything music. One place.
  • One platform. Every step.
  • Create. Release. Grow.
  • Music without the maze.
  • Less tools. More music.

No permanent campaign slogan is required for Brand v1.0.

How these lines should sound in product copy is on the voice page.
